Simulative performance analysis of distributed switching fabrics for SCI-based systems

چکیده
This paper presents the results of a performance study on 1D and 2D k-ary n-cube switching fabrics for the Scalable Coherent Interface through high-fidelity simulation with analytical verification. These topologies have been widely cited in the literature as the target of studies on parallel algorithms and represent a promising basis for the design of efficient distributed switching fabrics for SCI. Performance is characterized for multiprocessor networks composed of simple SCI rings, counterrotating SCI rings, unidirectional and bidirectional SCI tori, and SCI tori with rings of uniform size.

متن کاملDesign and Evaluation of Scalable Switching Fabrics for High-Performance Routers
This work considers switching fabrics with distributed packet routing to achieve high scalability and low costs. The considered switching fabrics are based on a multistage structure with different re-circulation designs, where adjacent stages are interconnected according to the indirect n-cube connection style. They all compare favorably with an earlier multistage-based counterpart according to...
متن کاملDesigning and Modeling a Control System for Aircraft in the Presence of Wind Disturbance (TECHNICAL NOTE)
This paper proposes a switching adaptive control for trajectory tracking of unmanned aircraft systems. The switching adaptive control method is designed to overcome the wind disturbance and achieve a proper tracking performance for control systems. In the suggested system, the wind disturbance is regarded as a finite set of uncertainties; a controller is designed for each uncertainty, and a per...
متن کاملMINA - a tool for MSC-based performance analysis and simulation of distributed systems
Performance analysis can help to address quantitative system analysis from the early stages of the system development life cycle, e.g., to compare design alternatives or to identify system bottlenecks. This thesis addresses the problem of performance evaluation of distributed systems by employing a viewpoint where analytical and simulative evaluation techniques are unified in the MINA tool to m...
